NAP Tax Credits
A special thank you to all of our ’13 – ’14 NAP donors! Four Rivers has sold all of our tax credits at this time. Please check back as we anticipate to have more credits available on July 1, 2014!
The State of Indiana has once again granted tax credits to Four Rivers, which allows us to extend a beneficial tax saving opportunity to our donors. Through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), a minimum contribution of $100, given to Four Rivers makes the donor eligible to receive 50% of the total contribution in tax credits – allowing the donor to receive half of a contribution back as a TAX CREDIT when filing an end-of-year Indiana tax return. In addition, donors are also eligible to claim the total amount of the gift as a tax deduction on an itemized federal income tax return, furthering the donor’s savings! Therefore, a gift to Four Rivers goes more than twice as far!
This year we were awarded $2,907 in NAP credits for the 2013-2014 cycle!
Four Rivers is designating NAP credits this year to be used toward Educational Assistance. Four Rivers staff continues to provide educational instruction along with daily living skills training to its service recipients, which encompasses preschool age children to the elderly. Four Rivers programs see the ongoing need to increase their educational materials and tools in order to better serve this vital population. The NAP tax credit donations will be used to purchase instructional materials and tools, along with necessary updated software and additional computers. Ultimately, the dollars raised will allow Four Rivers to better instruct and educate their service recipients while allowing budgeted dollars to be used for services instead!
To support Four Rivers and receive the tax benefit, download the NC-10 form, fill it out completely and mail the NC-10 form, along with your donation, to:
